External Financial Reporting

  • Prepare quarterly financial reporting requirements
  • Review supporting schedules underlying financial statements and disclosures
  • Coordinate with other teams to gather support for operational disclosures
  • Prepare and manage quarterly close schedule
  • Serve as key resource managing the company's external auditors and auditor request list

Internal Financial Reporting

  • Help manage monthly financial close process and preparation of internal financial statements
  • Prepare internal financial statements
  • Prepare analytical review of financial statements
  • Prepare recurring/non-recurring journal entries
  • Prepare schedules underlying financial statements and disclosures
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Grow financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends
  • Leads initiatives to increase overall functionality, lower costs, and evolve internal tools within quick timelines
  • Work in partnership with functional organizations to drive process improvements to maximize application efficiencies
  • Assist in the preparation of budgeting and forecasting schedules for annual budget

Job Requirements:

  • 5 years or more of accounting and financial management experience
  • Experience in oil and gas industry with a minimum of 2 years of FP&A specific experience
  • Experience working in a growing start up environment strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business required. CPA preferred
  • Flexibility to grow and change with company needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
