Job Description

Reporting to a Vice President, this newly created position is responsible for developing and executing the company’s payments operations strategy. This strategy will include the processing, balancing, and exception handling of all payment transactions (e.g., ACH, debit, RCC, and ICL). This is a great opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, who would like to be a “game-changer” in the payment operations aspect of treasury management. The Treasury Operations Manager is based at our Corporate Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and operate the payment processing function
  • Partner with IT, Compliance, Operations, Risk and Accounting to oversee the successful completion of daily payment transactions while ensuring compliance with NACHA Operating Rules, Visa/MasterCard rules and all state/federal regulations
  • Identify, justify and support new projects related to the overall improvement of payments operations, serving as a key stakeholder for all aspects of Payments project life cycle (design, development, testing and implementation)
  • Create, maintain and prioritize KPIs in order to optimize operational performance
  • Establish and drive the implementation of policies, procedures and processes, re-engineering, as needed, to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
  • Evaluate, recommend and develop new vendors, new strategies and more efficient processes 
  • Handle department inquiries, investigations, special requests and problem resolution in a timely manner

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
  • 7+ years of corporate treasury experience with a focus in payment operations
  • Knowledge of: payment processors and vendors, along with their products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations; and other payment-related policies and procedures (NACHA Operating Rules and Visa/MasterCard rules)
  • Ability to deal with difficult technical problems involving multiple facets, variables and situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to document procedures that are easily understood by others
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills are a must
  • Propensity to learn and invest time to further advance technological skillsets
  • Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only – no relocation
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification
  • 2+ years in a management or team lead role 
  • Thorough understanding of US domestic payment methods (e.g., ACH, debit card, credit card) and their regulatory requirements
  • Solid understanding of credit and debit card interchange business model for issuers and acquirers

  • Annual salary of $110,000
